Community Emergency Plans - Training DVDs
We have recently launched some short training films for Town and Parish Councils that have prepared community emergency plans. The films explain how the response to an emergency works in the Humber, why to write an emergency plan, how to run an emergency shelter and how to run an incident room. Oil Pollution Exercise DVD
We recently held two oil pollution exercises where we set up beach operations and practised some clean up operations. We filmed the events of the day and added some back ground information for people unfamiliar with oil pollution. You can view the DVD by clicking here.
Let's Get Ready
Some things in life we can plan for – like birthdays and weddings – but life isn’t always that predictable. Emergencies can significantly disrupt our daily lives and whilst we can’t prevent them happening, we can plan ahead to minimise the impact.
Residents and communities are being encouraged to get ready for the unexpected and to help them do this booklets have been produced containing advice on how to be prepared.
